Hilly and her sister Vesta get invited to take part in a free preview weekend at a new spa. Hilly is not a huge spa fan, but Vesta is.
The two set off for nearby Gull Beach looking forward to a couple of days relaxing in the hot tub, sauna and steam room. They have been offered free facials and massages. Hilly is looking forward to a good massage since she works on the computer all day which as we all know means back and shoulder pain.
But you guessed it. All is not what it seems. Oh sure, all the facilities are there but so are some people Hilly does not want to see. The result is murder, lots of secrets and no relaxation at all. In fact, it turns into a very stressful experience.
Talking about spas, I could do with a visit to one right now. It has been almost a year since my last visit. I dream about massages and sitting in a hot tub. But with COVID out there, I have no choice but to stay home to avoid infection. I know I am not the only one missing the wellness practices. Let’s hope we can all indulge soon.
By the way, I do want to let you know that Hilly and Vesta finally get a restful weekend at a spa in nearby Roxton, but not after some scary experiences while trying to solve the murder and Secrets at the Spa.
